Grumble, grumble

As hyper-sensitive as I am at the moment towards anything to do with Wales and the Welsh in the media, I was cross and tired at a glib bit of Welsh bashing in a re-run of dreadful 80s 'comedy' Up The Garden Path. One hammy lady with 'comedy' glasses and brown dress stated, for no reason, 'I've always had something against the Welsh'. She did end up snogging a Welsh bloke by the end of the episode. I've been privileged to having avoided any prejudice for my nationality despite four years of living in England, so I find it extremely startling when such flippant idiocy is thrown in my face. Actually, I think the big question here is, why the hell was I watching Up the Garden Path?

I have actually got the first three series of Ever Decreasing Circles on DVD. I think it is a classic, and Ricky Gervais agrees with me. So there.
